Chemshel operates world-class manufacturing facilities at

(A) Purulia (West Bengal)
(B) Khunti (Jharkhand).  

Purulia Manfacturing facility was established in 2005 and is equipped to manufacture Aleuritic Acid from Seedlac. It is spread across 6 hectares and has an annual capacity to manufacture 60.00 Mt of Aleuritic Acid.

In 2009, a new unit was established at Purulia facility to manufacture Ambrettolide from Aleuritic acid. The unit is semi automated and has a capacity to manufacture 24.00 MT of Ambrettolide annually. The latest technologies of Heat transfer, Vacuum, and Cooling systems are incorporated in our manufacturing facility to reduce cost and human errors in production.

In 2014, an additional facility has been established at Purulia facility to manufacture 36.00 MT of Ambrettolide annually, making total production capacity of Ambrettolide to 60.00 Mtpa from 24.00 Mtpa.

Our Production is done under strict BATCH CONTROL SYSTEM from the basic raw material i.e. Seedlac to Ambrettolide, which ensures safety and traceability of ingredients and ensures quality end product.

Khunti Manufacturing facility was established in 2008 and is equipped to manufacture Seedlac from Sticklac. Khunti area is the highest Quality lac producing area in the world.

The Unit is spread across 2.00 hectares and has an annual capacity to manufacture 400.00 Mt of Seedlac. More than 150 workers are employed in the said process of cleaning and washing of Seedlac.
